PROJECT OVERVIEW: Evora Edge is a holistic engineering firm with a wide range of strategic and technical skills. They contacted CREST to ask for support with their new software company, EdgeAPM. They wanted to develop a new unique software to allow the real estate industry to implement net zero into its day-to-day management of property.
PROJECT OBJECTIVES: Support with funding applications was required to help develop the software application. The aim was for this software to move away from standardised maintenance schedules onto reactive ones instead. Evora Edge were also keen to collaborate on continuing growth and recruitment in Shrewsbury, plus providing a facility to stimulate innovation and knowledge sharing.
PROJECT SOLUTIONS: Work with Evora Edge has become a long term collaboration, developing and evolving as time has gone on. Initially the CREST team supported with an application to Innovate UK, and research on indoor air quality. Following that, we facilitated with the development of the Pump House Knowledge Hub, a partnership between Evora Edge, University of Chester and Shropshire Council. This is a place where people can collaborate, get support and skills and begin to develop new solutions, products and services to help stimulate economic growth in the area.
