18th March 2021: Meet the R&D Business Support Team at UCS

Did you know that University Centre Shrewsbury (UCS) is funded to offer your business research and innovation support, with the aim of developing new products or services?

Whether you are a start up looking to develop a new digital product, an established company wanting to determine the training needs of your employees, or a sole trader interested in how to make money from a brilliant idea; the various projects based at UCS could provide the support you are after.

Building Skills and Growth Capacity (BSGC) – The team will work with you to complete a training needs analysis and then identify all relevant skills training options. They can advise on flexible support options that can react to individual business needs.

Centre for Research into Environmental Science and Technology (CREST) – We can offer support to SMEs who want to reduce their environmental impact, or develop innovative new products or services. Access to a state of the art lab focusing on air, water and soil research.

Digital Solutions – Their aim is to work with, and support, eligible SMEs to develop new digital innovations through research, innovation, technology transfer and commercialisation.

In partnership with the Marches Growth Hub, with an introduction from Paul Johnson, the new Head of Centre at UCS, this event will give an overview of the support on offer to businesses in Shropshire and Telford & Wrekin. Hear about the support we can offer your business so it continues to compete against those based in other, more developed, areas of the country. Also in attendance will be local businesses who will share how they have benefitted from the support provided by the UCS project teams.

Details: Thursday 18th March, 9:30am – 11:00am. Please click here for full agenda and to register.
