20th January 2021: Launch of the PLASTICS netWORK

Launch of a NEW, FREE forum for businesses across the plastics supply chain to communicate, meet and learn

The PLASTICS netWORK will bring together experience and knowledge from across Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and the Black Country and provide opportunities for business networking and knowledge transfer on issues such as sustainability, legislation, the environment and skills gaps.

Whether you are a material supplier, processor, packaging manufacturer or use plastics in your products or processes, then the PLASTICS netWORK is for you.  The launch event will focus on an important topic for us all … plastics and the environment.  With a myriad of legislation, consumer campaigns, regulations and industry initiatives, this virtual event will help you to navigate this confusing maze and show how we can all work together to support this key industry.

Hear presentations on:

  • Tackling plastics sustainability – PS Partnerships
  • BPF and improving the sustainability of plastics – British Plastics Federation
  • Addressing the skills gap – Polymer Training and Innovation Centre
  • Case study of sustainability in practise
  • Funding for your environmental project – Centre for Research into Environmental Science and Technology (CREST)

To register to attend this event please visit Eventbrite.

The PLASTICS netWORK is for businesses that use plastics in their products, processes or packaging … and we want your input.  What are the key issues affecting your business?  What are the skills gaps you struggle to fill?  Do you need to improve the environmental credentials of your business?  Let us know and future events can be designed to help you answer these questions.
