13th May 2021: Net Zero – Translating this into Future Workforce Demand

Join us for a 2 hour workshop led by Professor Julieanna Powell Turner and Professor Joe Howe from University of Chester, and the Centre for Research into Environmental Science and Technology (CREST), based at University Centre Shrewsbury, and supported by Shropshire & Telford Local Authorities, the Marches LEP and CP Catapult.

This is the first in a series of workshops, which will guide you through a range of emerging technologies, support you with innovation processes and development, and help you to identify the social and environmental impact.

The first workshop will share information from local business, economic research and current government policy to set the scene and share knowledge on the opportunities and challenges ahead for business to meet the Net Zero targets, with a focus on the local productivity gap, which is creating shortages in the labour market.

There is no cost to attend the event.
